Home Generator
The cost to install a whole-home generator depends on several factors, including:
- Number of appliances you want to power. The more appliances you want powered during a power outage the more powerful your generator will need to be and more powerful generators cost more.
- Adding a concrete slab. Depending on your local codes, you may need to pour a concrete pad for your generator. This will increase your overall costs.
- Whether you need an upgraded gas meter. Sometimes, a gas generator will need larger gas meters than what the home currently has. If you need to upgrade the gas meter, this will increase costs.
- Company, you hire. You’ll pay more for skilled, experienced techs who knows how to properly install your whole-home generator
